First day at work...

Hi,

in oder to give my international friends the chance to understand what I am actually writing on this blog and what they see on the pics, I want to write some posts in English J!

I already arrived in Sydney on 26. August 2011 after having a 3 days stopover in Singapore. Singapore was a nice city but I was glad about flying to Sydney on the 25. August 2011. It was a good experience being in Singapore and I actually saw a lot of things in these days. On the one hand Singapore is pretty expensive and on the other hand it looks like a fake city because everything seems just nicely arranged. For example SENTOSA looked like Disney World with a lot of attractions BUT nothing was for free. Furthermore, the weather was very humid and hot which I was not used to at all.

But there have been some good things as well. I enjoyed very good Indian food and it was nice seeing all the Singaporeans very nicely dressed and being very friendly. Moreover, Singapore is a really clean city. So if you ever have the chance to spend a few days in Singapore I would highly recommend you to do so!

After arriving to Sydney I moved into a company owned apartment which includes a swimming pool, tennis courts and a squash court. This apartment is really nice and I am sharing it with 2 other German interns. In total we are 6 interns working in different fields e.g. Finance, HR, IT, Aftersales,…

Today was my first day at work which was really nice. First of all I got to know my supervisor from the HR department who is a 24 year old man from England. He introduced me to all my colleagues and showed me what I will do the next 6 months till the end of February 2012. All in all it was a good day and I am sure we´ll have a lot of fun in the following months. I will keep you updated…
